/chuckles
Oh Elaine is so stuck on finding the problem sometimes that she doesn't see the hole that opened up before her. You really go to watch those steps sometimes.

In my experience, programming across the Cathedral Effect can expose a problem of resolution. Catfall might be a very simple algorithm but there’s a lot that can go wrong and while I can write a try-catch() statement, not all cases are known, therefore not all cases can be handled.

My hypothesis on the matter is that there must have been galvanic interference from the gremlins interacting with metallic resonance in the air vent. As for being sucked into an ur-realm or subdimension by the spellcode? I’m going to come right out and agree that’s possible but it’s highly improbable (less than squelch) especially in the case of catfall. The catfall spell acts on the kinetic energy provided by gravitational acceleration by providing a percentage of inertial dampening. Catfall 2.0 also redistributes impact momentum as a different form of energy other than kinetic through my body thus reducing injury. None of these effects draw greatly on ur-dimensional energy and thus won’t trigger

I have the Astral spellcode for catfall if anyone would like to collaborate.

Thankfully, I landed on the bed.

I hope the guy that lives in that room is alright. The gremlins could wreck his electronic equipment… I should check on him when I have time.

A bug in a MAGIK spell? I think you need to do some serius work on this... Next time it can drop you right into subrealm ...or worse.

@Isky The mechanics of the human mind also sometimes escapes me as well. I think that if we wish to pursue that avenue of investigation we may need greater access to the correspondence within Emily Early's administration.

She does not seem the type to properly secure her communications. It would be no hard feat to do so.

You got that right, Mr. Caterpillar. Although, I have to say that while Elaine has smarts -- she does tend to forget that she has an actual real body and I had to bully her into letting me check her shoulder.

Falling through the ceiling, it's just like her.

Thank Hadaly she basically has GPS on the girl.

Hrmm.. Not wanting people to know she saved someone's life seems so suspicious to me...
Maybe it was she who was really saved.
Perhaps she was the one who accidentally started the fire.
Many many hypothesis come to mind, but - none seem like a good reason to shut the poor girl up.
Isn't it funny how the human mind tends to make the unknown nefarious?

Rotator cuff issue *shudders* something I have on the left side. Not fun. Fortunately, Elaine appears smart enough to have gotten help right away, whereas I'm getting it nearly ten years after the fact!
